Art has always been part of my life and through it I have worked in drawing, painting, metal and stained glass. I currently work with soft pastels and glass an intricate mix of fine art and craft both providing a vibrant colour experience.
Drawing both creatively and technically lead to a career in engineering from which my ways of escape were through art.
Mostly self-taught my first taste of art history was through Saturday visits to the Birmingham Art Gallery to see their extensive collection of John Constable’s smaller sketches and oils. Beyond that I traveled extensively and enjoyed many cultures and from those journeys I find the inspiration that I draw on today to create work in pastel.
I have a certificate in Fine Art from Emily Carr University and have taken workshops in the US and Canada."
